Participants: Zemo and preferably a villain
Open/Closed: Open
Location(s): Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, site of the new Hydra outpost
Time of Day: Night
Weather: Rain and humidity as only the Amazon can provide
Summary: Baron Zemo is breaking in the new outpost of Hydra's continued operations
Despite it being the pitch dark of night and dark clouds obscuring the moon along with the thick foliage, the jungle all around him was loud and teeming with life.
The air was thick and wet with humidity. Sweat poured out of ever pore in his being and if his mask hadn't already clung to his face due to Adhesive-X it surely would have from how moist his skin was. It was thoroughly uncomfortable to be outside and there was no shortage of creatures in the jungle that could kill him. If not them, than the indigenous natives who did not take kindly to outsiders invading their land. Zemo smiled underneath his mask. They already wiped out at least three tribes that had tried to assault them with pointed sticks and slings. He welcomed them to try again.
Securing land in a national reserve would be difficult for anyone unless they were Hydra. The local government in Peru had recently underwent a political coup and the previous governing body had been overthrown by rebels. What caught everyone off guard was just how state of the art the rebels' weaponry was and how quickly they formulated and enacted their new government. Political experts stated it was the most efficient revolution they had ever witnessed. Zemo had laughed when he heard that tidbit of information. He was German by birth and the Germans were notorious for their efficiency. The Zemo Family had governed and manipulated governments for generations and Hydra's placement of a new political leader was standard practice for him. The secret to setting up a head of state was to get someone who was both simultaneously hungry for power and too near-sighted to plot a rebellion. The man they propped up would remain leader of Peru until a point in time that Hydra no longer had any use for him.
The outpost was meant to be a refueling station and base for the mobile Hydra Island that stayed hidden in the sky. From a ground level, the outpost looked like a small, black dome no larger than ten feet in length and eight feet in height. From the sky, it was almost entirely concealed by the thick jungle trees/vines and it's dark colors blended into the ground. It was undetectable by most known radar systems and his own psychic-blocker technology concealed it. That was merely the top of the base. The real base was entirely underground. They had dug over 100 feet into the jungle floor, hollowing it out and reinforcing the ground around them in steel. The first level was security and recon, the second level was a laboratory belonging to Dr. Arnim Zola, and the final level was a supply house of fuel, rations, and weaponry for Hydra Island. It was small and mighty, though nothing like Castle Zemo was in the high mountains of his native Germany.
"Lord Zemo, our Arctic Scouting Party has news for you." Zemo snorted and turned on the heels of his boots as he moved back into the base. However something in the jungle caught his attention.
